Gardaí from the Detective Branch in Portlaoise are investigating a robbery and assault that occurred in Portlaoise on Wednesday, January 1.
The alleged incident occurred between 10:35pm and 10:45pm at the junction of Greenmill Lane and the Mountmellick Road.
"We are seeking information about two males and one female who were observed acting suspiciously in the area during this time, particularly near Mountmellick Road, Greenmill Lane, and in the Dunnes Stores car park," said a Garda spokesperson.
"If you witnessed anything unusual or have dashcam footage from the area, please contact the Detective Branch at Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4134. Your assistance could be vital in this investigation."
