Road closed for Irish Water works in Laois.
A road in Portlaoise town centre will be closed to traffic for a full day next week.
Laois County Council has announced the road closure of Church Street, a one way street next to the county courthouse.
The closure is to facilitate mains waterworks by Uisce Éireann (Irish Water).
Church Street will be closed on Tuesday, January 21 from 9am to 6pm, from its junction with Main Street to Jessop Street.
The council will have signposted diversions in place.
A map of the diversions will be available to view on their website.
