A Portlaoise gym-goer has achieved a Guinness World Record for the furthest simulated distance climbed on a stair machine.
Anton Krivski took on the challenge on June 17, 2024 at the Midlands Park Hotel gym in Portlaoise and has now been awarded his certificate. Anton managed to climb an impressive 1,705km (1.06 miles) in one hour.
Midlands Park Hotel has congratulated Anton on the achievement.
"A huge congratulations to Anton, one of our long-standing members, on achieving a Guinness World Record using our Stairmaster gym machine! His dedication and determination have been truly inspiring, and we’re so proud to have been part of his journey. Our team has always cheered him on, and we couldn't be happier to see him reach this incredible milestone. Well done, Anton!" said a spokesperson for the hotel.
