The Portlaoise Family Resource Centre has extended an invitation to people across Laois to join them for a Community Christmas Remembrance event on Wednesday, 10 December.
The event's organisers said all are welcome to the event, regardless of religion, as it is a non-faith based gathering.
People can join the event to place the name of their lost loved ones on the centre's Christmas tree and light a candle in their memory.

A choir will sing on the night and reflections will be read.
The Community Christmas Remembrance night will be held in the Treo Nua Building of the Portlaoise Family Resource Centre at 7pm on Wednesday night.
