Easter Holy Week ceremonies in Portlaoise Parish

Portlaoise Parish has announced details of its religious services over Easter in Portlaoise, The Heath and Ratheniska churches.

They are as follows:

Monday & Tuesday:

  • Holy Mass, Parish Church, Portlaoise 7:30am, 10am & 7:30pm

Wednesday:

  • Holy Mass, Parish Church, 7:30am & 10am;
  • Penitential Service Parish Church 7:30pm

Holy Thursday:

  • Morning Prayer Parish Church 10am;
  • Confessions: 10:15 am to 12noon and after the 7:30pm Celebration Mass of the Lord's Supper in the Parish Church, The Heath & Ratheniska 7pm;
  • Quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

Good Friday:

  • Morning Prayer 10 am;
  • Confessions Parish Church 10:15am to 12noon & 6pm to 7pm;
  • Commemoration of Lord's Passion - Parish Church 3pm, The Heath & Ratheniska 7pm;
  • Stations of the Cross in the Parish Church 7:30pm

Holy Saturday:

  • Morning prayer 10 am;
  • ConfessionsParish Church 10:15am to 12noon;
  • Polish Blessing of Food 12noon Parish Church;
  • Vigil Mass - Parish Church 9 pm

Easter Sunday:

  • The Heath Dawn Mass 6am;
  • Masses in Parish Church 8:30am, 10am, 11:15am & 12:30pm;
  • Mass in The Heath Church 9:30 am;
  • Mass in Ratheniska Church 10 am.

Octave of Easter Parish Church Monday:

  • Holy Mass 10am and in Polish 11am in Parish Church

Tuesday to Saturday 7th to 11th April Holy Mass 10am.

A Holy Face of Jesus Vigil for Portlaoise will be held on Good Friday at The Shrine, Top Square, Portlaoise on 12 noon - 1pm. Contact: 086-0696295
