There's a wide choice of activities to choose from in Portlaoise this festive season.

Carol & Candle Evening
The Cuisle Cancer Support Centre will be hosting a 'Carol and Candle Twilight Event on Sunday, December 3 from 5pm.
This is an evening acknowledging everyone who has been touched by cancer. All your friends, family and children are invited to attend.
The lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place at 5pm.
Christmas carols will be courtesy of the 65 Kitchen Choir, The Vocalese, The Cahills and Catherine Carey.
Twilight Candles will be available to purchase on the evening for €5. Light refreshments will also be served.
Portlaoise Singers Christmas Concert
A firm favourite of the seasonal calendar is the Portlaoise Singers Christmas Concert.
The 44th Concert will take place in the Midlands Park Hotel on Sunday, December 17, commencing at 8pm.
This wonderful 65 strong choir will sing a mix of folk, opera and Christmas carols with soloist performances. Tickets at €15 are on sale now.
Silent Santa
Silent Santa will be coming to the Macra Hall in Portlaoise to meet children on the ASD spectrum.
There is no charge but moms and dads are asked to br ing a wrapped present.

Christmas Joy Concert
The Sing for Joy Choir will host their Christmas Joy Concert on Wednesday, December 6 in St. Fintan's Church on the Stradbally Road in the grounds of the hospital.
This free concert will take place at 11am. For further details contact Maureen Culleton at 087 - 6482038.
St. Peter's Concert
Join mezzo soprano, Heather Fogarty and the Trinity ensemble for a night of arias, classical crossover and Christmas carols in St Peter's Church of Ireland, Portlaoise, on Wednesday, December 13 from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
There will be something to satisfy everyone's musical palette.
65 Kitchen Choir
The 65 Kitchen Choir will perform in the Dunamaise Arts Centre on Thursday, November 30 and Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2.
