Favourite Christmas gift and Lovely Laois on the Portlaoise Toastmasters menu

Public speaking with Toastmasters Portlaoise

Toastmasters Portlaoise meet at the Killeshin Hotel

Portlaoise Toastmasters took place on Monday 27th November in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise.

Ciaran Dickinson our toastmaster for the night welcomed the two guests and it was an added bonus that they all contributed in small little way on the night to enhance their own confidence and help them overcome their fear of public speaking.

We had a very interesting word for the night “Imbroglio” meaning an extremely confused, complicated, or embarrassing situation.

On the night we had two excellent speeches from Donal Mooney with his speech “Minding your Mental Health” and Bryan Holland with his speech and sales pitch “Why buy a Nest Camera” to secure your home.

In the second part of the meeting we had a very lively and entertaining table topics varying from your favourite Santa Claus gift to why Co Laois is the best county in Ireland to visit.

Now do you feel nervous talking in group situations or doing any kind of public speaking? Do you have a presentation to give at work in the near future? Portlaoise Toastmasters is the perfect place to develop your skills and build confidence in a supportive and warm environment and have fun while doing it.

The Christmas Party meeting of Toastmasters will take place on Monday 11th December at 8pm in the Killeshin Hotel so if you want a fun night or find out what is involved why not pop your head in to see what it is all about.

Free admission for guests on the night.
