Portlaoise woman Julie Fitzpatrick celebrates amazing 16 stone weight loss
Portlaoise woman Julie Fitzpatrick is celebrating a fantastic 16 stone weight loss three weeks ahead of her target.
Julie set herself the challenge of reaching her huge 16 stone weight loss by her birthday on June 5 and this week she smashed that target three weeks early.
Support flooded in for Julie when her brilliant achievement was shared on Facebook this week.
“I am so happy I have reached my target, I am feeling pretty good!
“The dietitian is very happy with me and I want to go another stone.
“I feel fantastic and like I am in a bit of a haze. I think the penny has finally dropped on how far I have actually come.
“My life has turned around immensely, I was so unfit I used to be able to walk for about 12 minutes and I would be out of breath. Now I am doing 50km a week on the roads.
“I was out this morning and I did a 10km walk in and hour and thirty five minutes. That was a huge challenge this time last year.
“The weight loss hasn’t slowed down, I have a fast metabolism, I lost 11 pounds in three weigh ins which is phenomenal when you get down to the wire,” she said.
Julie is now a ‘free slimmer’ in Unislim where her leader is Breda McCann.
She started her weight loss journey in January, 2016 spurred on by the sudden death of her father and not being able to find clothes to fit her.
Julie celebrated her 14 stone weight loss in December, read more here.
