Garda parking warning ahead of Portlaoise Parish Cemetery Sunday

Portlaoise Gardaí have issued parking appeal to people who will be attending the annual cemetery Sunday Mass a the town's cemetery this weekend.

The SS Peter & Paul’s Portlaoise Parish Cemetery Mass takes place on Sunday, June 3 at 1pm. The cemetery is located along the busy N80 Portlaoise to Carlow road.

Gardaí say roadside parking is prohibited on the Stradbally side of the graveyard. A supervised car park will be provided in a field opposite Kelly's farm. Gardaí request the public's co-operation.

Midlands Down Syndrome Centre will be stewarding at the car park.

The Cemetery Sunday Mass collection is shared between the parish and the SS Peter & Paul's cemetery committee.

The Mass will be streamed live on www.portlaoiseparish.ie

Please note this Mass will replace the usual 12.30pm Sunday Mass in the Portlaoise Parish Church.

The Ratheniska Cemetery Mass takes place on Friday (First Friday), June 1 at 7.30pm.
