Christmas Market Portlaoise.
The organisers of this year's Christmas Market in Portlaoise have confirmed the date for this year's big festive event.
Organised by Downtown Portlaoise, the town is the place to be on Sunday, November 25 from 11 am when the market on Main Street opens.
Laois County Council, which is supporting the event, will close off Main Street and surrounding roads to facilitate festive fun and Santa's visit to the town.
The Christmas Market runs all day until 6 pm with stalls packed with lots of perfect Christmas gifts.
Santa arrives, 'for plenty of selfies' at 2 pm and takes some of his precious time to stay around for the spectacular Christmas light switch on at 4.30pm.
The day also features stalls, choirs, face painting, balloon animals and much more.
The market closes at 6pm.
The event is also supported by Laois Hire.
