New company takes over management of busy Portlaoise church car park

The same car park management company that runs Portlaoise and Portarlington train station car parks has taken over the management of Portlaoise church car park.

A company called APCOA Parking is taking over the management of the busy car park at St Peter and Paul's church at the Dublin Road, Portlaoise.

The terms and conditions for car park users will be the same as they were at €2 per hour or €6 per day.

The car park is managed in order to discourage all day and casual parking and to keep it free for people using the church and parish centre.

There is no charge for those who are attending services in the church, meetings or functions in the parish centre.

APCOA Parking AG is Europe's longest-established full-service parking management company. It manages over 1,400,000 parking spaces across 12 countries and employs approximately 4,500 people. It is headquartered at Stuttgart Airport in Germany.
