Portlaoise house prices continue to rise - CSO

Central Statistics Office's latest Residential Property Price report released

Laois house prices up €25,000 since last year - CSO

House prices in the Portlaoise area are continuing to rise and have now reached an average of €250,500, according to a new report from the Central Statistics Office (CSO). 


The latest CSO Residential Property Price Index reveals that in June of this year the average property price of houses in the Portlaoise Eircode area was €250,500 up from €230,000 in June of last year. 

The study shows that the average property price in Laois stands at €260,000, up from €235,000 in June 2023. 


The average property price nationally rose to €€337,500 in June 2024. The lowest average was recorded for €169,000 in Longford, while the highest was €630,000 in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

Commenting on the release, Niall Corkery, Statistician in the Prices Division, said: “Residential property prices rose by 8.6% in the 12 months to June 2024, up from 8.5% in the year to May 2024. In Dublin, residential property prices saw an increase of 9.3%, while property prices outside Dublin were 8.2% higher in June 2024 when compared with a year earlier."
