The removal of hoarding from the facade of the former Portlaoise Presentation Convent has revealed the extent to which the landmark building is being restored to its former glory.
The front entrance of the historic building on Church Avenue has been revealed, minus a porch added while it was in use. Almost €30 million is being spent on renovating the building and the construction of new apartment blocks on the land surrounding the facility.
