Irelands first luxury retirement village has opened in Laois, next to The Heritage Killenard.

The brand new Heritage Village is offering high end retirement living in Killenard.

There are now 47 completed properties on the site, with construction expected to be completed in May of 2026.

Starting from €325,000, two types of two-bedroom homes are available for purchase: detached homes and courtyard homes. Heritage Village offers 24/7 support available for residents, with plenty of amenities within walking distance.

The layout of these homes is designed to foster a community environment, with a community hub building and a park central to the housing development.

The community hub features a bistro and bar, a library, a cinema room, a private function room, an exercise room, a gym, a pickleball court, consulting rooms for wellbeing appointments, a reception and administrative offices.

Along with these services, residents have access to the hotel's leisure pool and fitness facilities, the spa and thermal suite, and Ireland’s only Seve Ballesteros-designed championship course.
