The popular pub had traded well and was run by the same family between the 1950s and its closure in 2017.

Auctioneer DNG Kelly says “it now offers a superb opportunity to revive or establish a new enterprise in this outstanding location.”

“The property offers exceptional flexibility and development potential. Whether for hospitality, retail, office, or residential conversion (subject to planning), this is a strategic asset in the heart of Portlaoise town centre,” the auctioneer states.

They described the property as an exceptional town centre investment and said it must been seen to be fully appreciated.
