Sr Canice (Mary) Keyes-Errill

Sr Canice (Mary) Keyes of St John of God, Wexford and formerly of Errill, Rathdowney, Co Laois, peacefully on the 25th October 2023 in the exceptional care of the staff of Sallyville House, St John of God, Wexford.

Predeceased by her parents Joe and Sarah, her brothers Joe, Paul, Matt, John and Billy.

Sr Canice will be dearly missed by her sisters in law, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives, many friends and all staff and Sisters of St. John of God.

Reposing at  Sallyville House Chapel on Thursday, October  26 from 2pm with evening prayer at 6pm. Funeral Mass at 10.30am in Sallyville House Chapel Friday, October 27, followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery, Waterford Road, Kilkenny arriving approximately  1.30pm. 

Sr Canice’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed from Sallyville House chapel.

Bernadette Kearns- Portlaoise

Bernadette Kearns(née Malone), 1 Triogue Place, Portlaoise  (formerly Fatima Mansion, Rialto, Dublin) passed away peacefully, in the loving company of her children. Sadly missed by her family James, Fiona, Ciaran, Sinead and Caitriona, daughter in law Alessia, son in law Andrew, grandchildren Maira, Georgina, Kai, Nico, Xander, Rhylie, Sofia, Megan, Ellie, Kacey, Elijah and great-grandchild Gracelyn, her brother and sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.May Bernadette Rest In Peace

Reposing at Keegan's Funeral Home, Portlaoise  (R32 W10E), on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm with recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Thursday morning at 10.15am to arrive at Saint John’s Church, Killenard (R32 VW77), for 11am Requiem Mass, which can be viewed on https://www.whelehanfunerals.com/bernadette-kearns   Cremation to follow in Newlands Crematorium at 1.30pm, which can be viewed on

Michael Kavanagh - Rathdowney

The death took place on Sunday, October 22 of Michael Kavanagh, Ballincollig and formerly of Rathdowney, Co. Laois.

Peacefully at Care Choice Montenotte, Michael beloved husband of the late Ann (née Boland) and loving father of Matthew, Michael and Andrew. Deeply regretted by his loving sons, daughters-in-law Bernice and Lorraine, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose at Crowley’s Funeral Home Ballincollig Wednesday (25th) from 6.00pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass at 11am Thursday (26th) in the Church of St Mary and St John Ballincollig which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/stmjballincollig Funeral afterwards to St John’s Cemetery Ovens.

Ita Feely - Abbeyleix

The death took place on Sunday, October 22 of Ita Feely (née Deegan), Terenure, Dublin, formerly of Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.

Peacefully, in the care of the wonderful staff of Anna Gaynor House, Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, Harold’s Cross. 

Beloved wife of the late Frank, beloved mother of the late Emer.  Ita will be forever loved and dearly missed by her daughters Orla and Niamh, son Ronan, brother Aidan, sons-in-law Philip, Tony and John, daughter-in-law Niamh, her adored grandchildren Clodagh, Ronan, Matthew, Stephen, Shauna, Donal, Conor, Aidan, Seán and Ciara, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Templeogue, D6WAC8, this Wednesday evening from 5pm – 7pm.  Removal to St. Pius X Church, Templeogue, on Thursday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.00 am followed by Cremation Service at 12.15 pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.

Elaine Buggy - Tolerton

The death took place on Sunday, October 22 of Elaine Buggy (née Dunne) of Tolerton, Ballickmoyler, Carlow, Co. Laois and formerly of Riverdale, Leixlip, Co Kildare.

Passed away peacefully, on October 22nd, 2023 at St Brigid’s Hospice, Curragh, Co. Kildare.

Beloved wife of Raymond, adored mother of Darragh, Cian and Eoghan, much loved daughter of John and Jean, cherished sister of Niall and treasured daughter-in-law of Mary and the late Richard.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, parents, brother, brothers-in-law John, Paddy, Gerry and Eugene, sisters-in-law Dorota, Caroline, Chris, Deirdre and Geraldine, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, (Eircode R93 F6Y9) from 2.30p.m on Wednesday, concluding with Prayers at 7p.m. that evening. Removal on Thursday at 11.30a.m to The Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Denis Fennell - Stradbally

The death took place on Saturday, October 21 of Denis (Dinny) Fennell, Park, Stradbally, Laois
Passed away peacefully at Naas General Hospital on the 21st of October 2023. Predeceased by his parents, James and Bridget Fennell, bothers Jimmy and Mick, sisters Mary and Kathleen. Very deeply regretted by his nephew John, nieces Breda, Debbie and Tracey, his cousin Peter and Peter's wife Patricia Moran, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Reposing at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally, on Tuesday (24th October) from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary at 7pm on Wednesday (25th October). Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally, on Thursday (26th October) and afterwards Denis will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.
