Cyril Fitzpatrick- Castletown
Cyril Fitzpatrick, 1 St. Patrick's Terrace, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formerly Aughafan, Castletown, Co Laois.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Cyril Fitzpatrick, aged 55, who passed away peacefully today the 27th of March 2025, in ICU in St. Vincent's University Hospital, Elm Park, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family.
Cyril was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, whose warmth, strength, and kindness touched all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife and best friend Michelle, his adoring children Cyril Jnr and Rosalín, Rosalín's husband David and Cyril's partner Khimmie, his loving sister Mairead and his brothers Kevin, Ger and Kenneth, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Treasured son of the late Winnie and Tom (Giggie) and cherished brother of Ray. We take comfort in knowing that Cyril is now at peace after a long illness fought bravely. Ar dhéis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
Reposing at his home 1 St. Patrick's Terrace, Castletown, (Eircode R32K7E2) this Saturday (March 29th) from 3pm to 7pm with rosary at 6pm.
Removal from his home on Sunday (March 30th) to St. Edmund's Church, Castletown, for Funeral Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in Churchtown Cemetery, Castletown.

Mildred Ward-Cullohill
The death occurred of Mildred Ward (née Ray) of Nahanna, Rathangan, Offaly / Rathangan, Kildare / Cullohill, Laois on March 25, 2025.
Formerly of Aughmacart, Cullohill County Laois. Peacefully at Naas Hospital. Sadly missed by her loving husband Robert (Bobby), son Douglas, daughter Norma, sister Florence, daughter-in-law Pamela, son-in-law Chris, grandchildren Stephen, Amy Holly, Jack and Kate, extended family, neighbours and friends. "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus".
Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday at 1:10pm (travelling via her residence) arriving Rathangan Parish Church (eircode R51 NY90) for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery, Rathangan. Family Flowers Only Please.

John (Frederick) Kennedy- Rathdowney / Stradbally
The death has occurred of John (Frederick) Kennedy, Church Street, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Timogue and Ballycoolan, Stradbally, peacefully, on the 25th of March 2025 at Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington, Co. Laois. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Robert (Bob) and Larry.
Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sisters Rachel and Violet, brother Joe, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends.
Reposing at The Presentation Chapel, Stradbally from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday (27th March), with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Friday (28th March) at 1:45pm to arrive at St. Patrick's Church of Ireland, Stradbally for Funeral Service at 2pm followed by burial in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally. The death occurred of James (Séamus) Francis, Moyvilla, Oranmore, Co Galway on 24th March 2025. Formerly of Dangan, Galway and Mountmellick Co. Laois, he died peacefully in the loving care of The Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane. Predeceased by his parents John and Nora, sister Sheila and brother John. Beloved father to Órla, Áine, James, Clare, Ciara and their mother Chris, grandchildren Conor, Fionn, Dara, Roísín, Dáithí, Clodagh, Tara and Liam, sons-in-law Robert, Philip, David and Tim, brothers Willie, Michael and Pat, sister Eileen, nephews, nieces, neighbours, wide circle of friends and colleagues of An Garda Síochána.

Reposing at Suaimhneas on the grounds of The Church of the Annunciation, Clarinbridge (H91HW58) this Friday evening 28th March 2025 from 5pm to 6.30pm followed by removal to the Church. Funeral Mass on Saturday 29th March 2025 at 11am in the Church of the Annunciation, Clarinbridge. Mass will be broadcast on parish radio 106.2FM and can be viewed on parish website http://clarinbridgeparish.ie Burial afterwards in local cemetery.
