John (Jackie) Drea - Portlaoise
The death has occurred of John (Jackie) Drea Ridge Rd, Portlaoise and late of Carlow and Athy who died on June 4 following a short illness.
Deeply missed by his loving wife Brenda, sister Ann Muphy, brothers in law Noel and Ben, sisters in law Miriam, Theresa and Mary Angela (recently deceased).
Also missed by nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, the extended Marum family, neighbours and friends and former colleagues in Tegral.
Reposing at Keegans funeral home on Friday from 6.30 pm until 8 pm with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church for 11 am Requiem Mass.
Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Bridie Reid - Emo
The death has occurred of Bridie Reid (née Dowling), (Dunboyne, Co. Meath and formerly of Emo, Co. Laois) June 1st, 2025, suddenly but peacefully, at her home. Beloved wife of Thomas and cherished mam of Thomas Jnr., Marilyn, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Natasia, Samantha, Damien, Sonia, Bridget and Jacqueline.
Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Aidan, Sean, Andrew, David, Eamon and Derrick, daughters-in-law Jane and Linda, grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Jack, Lauren, Leah, Sean, Calvin, Jonah, Sarah, Ciaran, Ella, Niamh, Alex, Abi, Jay, Josh, Luca, Rosie and Baby Rochford-to-be, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Dunboyne on Friday evening (6th June) from 5pm to 8pm.
Removal to S. S. Peter and Paul’s Church, Dunboyne on Saturday morning (7th June) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Rooske Cemetery, Dunboyne.

Mary Kearney- Mountmellick
The death has occurred of Kearney, Mary (née Conran) (late of Knocklyon, Dublin and Mountmellick, Co. Laois) 3rd June 2025, peacefully, in Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Beloved wife of the late Seamus, loving mother of Eleanor, Claire, William and James and adored grandmother to James, Michelle, Aoife, Maeve and also her expected grandchild. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. Rest In Peace.
Funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will take place at 4pm on Saturday (7th June) in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross (followed by cremation). No flowers by request donations if desired, to Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross.
