Thomas (Tom) Donovan - Mounrath, Castletown

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) Donovan Clonard, Mountrath, Laois / Castletown, Laois. Passed away August 25th 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful and loving care of the staff at Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington.

Predeceased by his son Tommy, sisters Anne and Kathleen, brothers Dan, Tony and Jack. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Elizabeth (Lilly), sons Billy, Dan, Joseph, Michael, Declan and Paul, daughters Mary, Anne and Caroline, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Tom Rest in Peace. 

Tom will repose at Guilfoyle's Funeral Home, Castletown, (Eircode R32TN84) this Tuesday evening (Aug 26th) from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from Guilfoyle's Funeral Home, Castletown, on Wednesday morning (Aug 27th) at 10.50am to arrive at St. Edmund's Church, Castletown, (Eircode R32KT22) for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by interment immediately afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery, Castletown.

Imelda Furlong - Stradbally

The death has occurred of Imelda Furlong (née Barry) Kilpatrick, Stradbally, Laois, R32AP20

Imelda, passed away peacefully, in the company of her loving family, at her residence, in her 88th year on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Predeceased by her husband Willie, her sister Nancy and brother Seán, her parents Hugh and Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by her daughter Marie, sons Martin and Noel, daughters-in-law Laura and Ann Marie, grandchildren John, Emily, Kate and Liam, sister Mary Buggie, sister in law Ann Barry, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Imelda Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence (R32 AP20) on Wednesday from 3pm with Recital of the rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive at the church of Assumption the Heath (R32 TN88) for 11am requiem mass. Mary (Millie) Murphy- Ballybrittas

The death has occurred of Mary (Millie) Murphy(née O'Connor) of Bellgrove, Ballybrittas. 

Millie passed away peacefully in the company of her loving and devoted family, in her 87th year at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Predeceased by her husband Billy, and her parents Patrick and Kathleen O'Connor and her brother Michael.

Millie will be greatly missed by her loving children Michael, Patrick, Mary and Catherine. Much loved Grandmother of Aisleen, Gavin, Michelle, Shane, Amy, Katie and Eoghan. Daughters-in-law Geraldine and Kate, Sons-in-law Frankie, Catherine's Partner Liam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece's, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Millie Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at her residence (R32 K63X) Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm with recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Thursday at 2pm to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Rath for 2:30pm Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in New Cemetery Emo. Of Whitefields, Portarlington, Laois and formerly of Bogtown, Cloneygowan County Offaly. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness on Monday, August 25. Sadly missed by her loving sons Aidan and Josh, parents Joe and Maureen, sisters Sinead, Josephine and Fiona, brothers John and Colm, brothers-in-law John and Mark, sister-in-law Siobhan, the boys father Declan,nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours and her many close friends.May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her sister Josephine's residence Bogtown,Cloneygowan (eircode R35 KV76) on Tuesday evening from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10:20am arriving St Mary's Church Raheen for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. House Private on Wednesday Morning, Please.

Liam Loughnane - Portlaoise 

The death has occurred of Liam Loughnane Rathnamanagh, Portlaoise, Laois / Galway City, Galway. 

It is with heavy hearts that the Loughnane family announce the sudden passing of Liam Loughnane on Friday 22nd August 2025. Son of recently deceased Eileen. Beloved son of Gerard and treasured brother to Jamie and Mary Rose. Dearly loved by his girlfriend Ruth Gallagher, nephew Cillian, Sister in Law Rachel, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. Sadly missed by his fellow colleagues and patients in the Wellstone Clinic. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
