The death has occurred of Patrick (Pad) Kirwan Woodview, Killeaney, Kilbricken, Mountrath / Shanahoe peacefully on December 2 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen, and his parents William and Mary-Ann, brothers Martin and Jim, sisters Mary and infant sister Sheila, son-in-law Paul (Finan). Loving father to Amanda, William, Loretta and Helena, cherished grandad to Shannon, Cullan, Billy, Rogan, Malachy, Lillian, Ross, Patrick, Gráinne, Helen and Andrew.
Deeply regretted by his sister Kathleen, brothers Billy, Tom and Charlie, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, partners, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at his home eircode R32C9P0 on Thursday, December 4 from 4pm, concluding with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday 5th December to St Brigid’s Church, Shanahoe for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Joe Carroll - Abbeyleix
The death occurred of Joe (Josie) Carroll, New Row, Abbeyleix on December 3, peacefully, in the care of the staff of Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Predeceased by his brother Gerard. Deeply regretted by his wife Bernie, daughter Shirley, sons Joe and Michael, sisters Gearldine and Philomena, sister-in-law Catherine, granddaughters Lucy, Moya and Ruby, grandsons Donnacha, Eoghan and Tommy, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Eva and Michael's partner Sarah, cousins and friends.
Reposing in the Chapel of Repose adjoining the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix from 5pm.on Friday with prayers at 7pm. Removal to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix on Saturday for 11am. Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
House private at all times. Family flowers only.
Mary Ryan - Durrow
The death has occurred of Mary Ryan, (née Kildea), The Forge, Swan Road, Durrow, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, while under the medical care of the staff of St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.
Mary will be sadly missed and is deeply regretted by her loving husband Jimmie, her sons and daughters Shay Gearóid, Finn and Aisling, her brother Andy and Mary Kildea, her brother in law, sisters in law, son in law Jason, daughters in law Joan and Theresa her cherished and adoring grandchildren Adam, Mark, Tim, Emily, Darcy and Jamie, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Mary will repose in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow (R32 CK11) on Thursday, December 4 from 4pm concluding with recital of the Rosary at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be at 12pm on Friday, December 5 with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

PJ Keenan - Roundwood
The death has occurred of PJ Keenan of Roundwood, Mountrath, Co Laois. PJ passed away suddenly at his home on the 2nd of December 2025. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Sheila, brother Tim, sister-in-law Helen, and brother-in-law Paddy (Dowling).
Sadly, missed by his brother Frank, sister Sheila (Dowling) and sister-in-law Teresa, nephews and nieces Tina, Barry, Yvonne, Damien, Thérése, Fran, Zane, Declan, Majella and Jackie, grandnephews, grandnieces, great- grandnephews, great-grandnieces, cousins, all his friends at the Muiríosa Foundation, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
