The death has occurred of Mary McAssey (née Kelly) 118 St Clare’s Road, on February 18 in the gentle care of Hillview Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Beloved wife of the late Noel and much loved mother of Mary-Clare, Christene and Cornelia (Connie). Sadly missed by her loving daughters, sister Connie Redmond, sons-in-law Ray and Michael, grandson Conor, great-granddaughter Freya, brother-in-law Donie, sister-in-law Eavan, Conor’s partner Shauna, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her brothers, Ned and Berto.
Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow R93 H308 on Friday (Feb 20th) from 4 pm, concluding with prayers at 7pm.
Walking from her home on Saturday at 10.45 am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, to arrive for the funeral Mass at 11 am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Annie Boyle - Stradbally
The death has occurred of Annie (Eithne) Boyle, (née Devoy), Kilmurray, Stradbally, peacefully at her residence surrounded by family on February 17 in her 98th year.
Predeceased by her father Thomas, mother Margaret, her brothers Finn, Liam, TJ and Noel.
Sadly missed by her husband Denis, her daughter Colette, and her son Noel, grandchildren Gerard, Aoife, Aisling, and great-grandchild Páidí, son-in-law Kevin and daughter-in-law Teresa, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Eithne will be reposing at her residence on Thursday evening from 5 pm – 8 pm with the recital of the rosary at 8 pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Friday at 11:20 am to arrive at the Church of Assumption, the Heath for 12 noon requiem Mass. Eircode R32 TN88.

The death has occurred of Sheila Drury (née Cahill), Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly of Cricklewood, London and Ballyouskill, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the staff at Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on 17th February.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Brendan, daughter Marie, sister Anne, and her parents Patrick and Anne. Sheila will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her devoted son Paul, sisters Catherine and Maura, brother Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and her many friends in Ireland and London. The death has occurred of Martin O'Reilly, Glenageary, Co Dublin, late of Manchester and Portlaoise, on February 17, 2026, peacefully in the kind care of all the staff of St Vincent’s Hospital.
Beloved husband of the late Ellen Mary (Nell), loving father of Michael, Jim and Geraldine. Sadly missed by his children, sons-in-law Tony and John, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren Alison, Claire, Jamie, Hannah and Sam, great-grandchildren Teddy and Rosie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and his many work colleagues in the various branches of the Irish Postal Service. Beloved wife of the late Patrick, much-loved mother of Helen, Alice, Bernard and the late John, adored grandmother of Jane, Pádraic, Brid, Kate, Shauna, Padraic, Justin and Laura, treasured great-grandmother of Saoirse and Páidí and cherished sister of Alice and the late Johney, Mary Ann and Jim.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Kathleen, her sisters Bernadette and Kathleen and her brother James. Una will repose in Durrow parish centre (R32H327), on Thursday, 19th February from 5 pm until 8 pm. Cremation will take place on Friday, 20th February, at 12.30 pm at Newlands Cross Crematorium.
