Brigid Keogh- Portlaoise

The death has occurred of Brigid Keogh (née Conroy) of Parkview, Portlaoise, Laois, peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Séan and son Kevin. Dearly loved mother to Lynda Keenan and Carmel McEvoy. And John. Cherished grandmother to Craig, Gary, Leah, Aaron and Aidan. And greatgrandchild Jayden. Deeply regretted by all her loving family. Nephews, nieces, relative, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6.30 until 8 pm, with Rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Wednesday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church for 11am Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery. House strictly private.

Pat Proctor- Ballickmoyler, Laois / Ballickmoyler, Carlow

Pat Proctor of The Strand, Ballickmoyler, Co Laois and formerly of Coolenaugh, Killeen, Co Laois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on February 23rd, 2026 under the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and cherished brother of Eileen.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sister, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends. May Pat’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Pat will repose at his nephew John’s home, The Strand, Ballickmoyler, Co Laois (R93 D2T6) on Wednesday February 25th from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday at 2.30pm to St Abban’s Church, Killeen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 3pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peter Richard Graham- Stradbally

Peter Richard Graham of Kylebeg, Stradbally, Laois passed peacefully, on Monday 23rd February 2026, at 10:50 PM, surrounded by his devoted family.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Marie and his parents Mary and Richard Graham. ​Deeply regretted and forever loved by his children Stephen, Peadar, Edel, Fergal, Finnbarr and Aisling, his daughters-in-law/children's partners Sinead and Lorraine, his sons-in-law/children's partners Paddy, Darragh and Andrew and his cherished grandchildren Adara, Sophie, Ross, Ronan, Jacob, Cormac, Robert, Emma and Keela. Sadly missed by his extended family, brothers and sisters, neighbours and many friends.

​A respected builder and entrepreneur, Peter was well known for his lifelong contribution to construction across County Laois. A man of immense generosity and work ethic, he took great pride in his craft but his greatest devotion was always to his family. When asked how he was, Peter was famously known for his quick wit and his trademark reply: "Rotten, thank God."

​The Graham family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and nurses for the exceptional care given to Peter during his final days especially Jack, Audrey, Caroline, Shelly and Paul and to Mary and Sarah and staff of the Beacon Hospital.May he Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at his residence (R32Y5P6) on Wednesday afternoon (February 25th) from 2pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning (February 26th) to arrive at The Church of The Sacred Heart, Stradbally for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, see livestream link https://svtparish.ie/webcam Burial afterwards in Oakvale Cemetery.

​House private on Tuesday 24th February and Wednesday morning. Flowers to be sent directly to the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally.

John Kenna- Mountmellick, Laois / Kildare

The death has occurred of John Kenna, 27 Bayview, Mountmellick, Co. Laois and formerly of Old Road Kildare, Co. Kildare. John passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret, his sons Alan and John and his daughter Karen Carter, his sister Mary Howe (UK), his daughters-in-law Christine and Debbie, son-in-law Cecil, his adored grandchildren Conor, Caoimhe, Saoirse, Megan, Jack and Amy, his sister-in-law Babs Kenna, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing in his home (R32 WP28) on Tuesday 24th from 4pm. Recital of the Rosary 6pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Joseph's Church, Mountmellick arriving for 11am Requiem mass. Burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery.

House Private Please on Wednesday morning please. Mass will be live-streamed via the parish webcam https://www.mountmellickparish.ie.

Anne Murphy - Portlaoise

The death took place on Monday, February 23 of Anne Murphy of 2 Borris Meadows, Portlaoise, Co Laois and formerly of Kernanstown, Carlow.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on February 23 at her home.

Predeceased by her parents William and Veronica and grandson Dylan.

Beloved mother of William, Pamela, Philip, Clare Rose, Ricky, Tanya and Padraig and cherished sister of Tony, William, Veronica, Siobhan, Rose Mary and Jackie.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchild, son-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Anne will repose at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (R93 C863) on Wednesday February 25th from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday morning at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Sq., for cremation Service at 11.30am approx.

Noel McRedmond - Clonaslee

The death took place on Sunday, February 22 of Noel McRedmond, Kilclare, Durrow, Tullamore, Offaly / Clonaslee, Laois. Formerly of Clarahill, Clonaslee, Co. Laois.

Predeceased by his parents, Alice and Billy, his brothers, Pat and Baby William and his sister, Cathy.

Noel passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Noel will be forever missed by his devoted and loving family, his wife, Máire, daughter Gráinne, son Rónan, his adoring grandchildren, Aoibhín, Conn, Seána, Cian, Clíodhna and Éadaoin, son-in-law Hugh, daughter-in-law Alice, his brothers, Michael, Thomas and David, his sisters, Breeda Hally (Ballaghmore) and Sadie Rigney (Ballaghmore), his niece, Niamh Gorman and his nephew, Gearóid Walsh, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Noel will repose at St. Joseph’s Oratory, Cappincur, Tullamore (R35 ND80) on Tuesday, February 24, from 3 pm until rosary at 7 pm.

Noel’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Saint Manman’s Church, Clonalsee (R32 N6E5) on Wednesday, February 25 at 2 pm. Followed by burial in Clonaslee Cemetery.

Mary Hyland - Castletown

The death took place on Saturday, February 21 of Mary (May) Hyland (née Killeen), late of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Castletown, Co. Laois.

Passed away peacefully, in her 100th year, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Atlanta House Nursing Home, Bray. Beloved wife of the late John, adored Mum of John, Mary and the late Bernie and Eugene, dearly loved Nanny of Alan, Shane, Jonathan, Jessica, Lauren, Andrew and Anthony and great-Nanny of Willow, Shane, Harlee and Amelia, lovingly remembered by her brother Jim, family and friends.

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Tuesday (24th February) from 4.00pm-6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (25th February) at 10.00am in St. Peter’s Church, Little Bray followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
