The death has occurred peacefully of Mary (Maura) Lawless (née Jay), on March 7, late of Rathdowney and formerly of Ballyboden, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of staff at The Residence Nursing Home, Portlaoise.

Beloved wife of Bernard. Maura will be very dearly missed by her loving husband, sister Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village (D22K602) on Wednesday, March 11, from 12noon to 2 pm. A Celebration of Maura’s Life will take place afterwards in The Temple, Newlands Cross Crematorium 9D24K1CY), arriving at 2.30 pm.

Peter Moran - Stradbally

The death has occurred of Peter Moran, Ballinteskin, peacefully on March 9, surrounded by his devoted and loving family at his home.

Predeceased by his sons, John and Peter.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia, daughter Mary, sons Joe, Mick and Andy, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Irene, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally, on Tuesday from 5 pm to 8 pm, with a recital of the Rosary at 8 pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11 am in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally, followed by interment in Timogue Cemetery.

Miriam Bradley - The Swan

The death occurred of Miriam Bradley (née White), formerly Leinster Road, Rathmines, Dublin, and The Swan, Co Laois on March 6, peacefully in the wonderful care of Ryevale Nursing Home, Leixlip.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, son Andrew, daughter Helen, daughter-in-law Clodagh and her precious granddaughter Carina.

Forever loved and remembered by her sister Bernie, brother Michael, nephew George, niece Fiona, and extended family and a wide circle of friends of many years.

Remembered by her former husband, Michael, who remains a great support to Andrew and Helen.

John Oliver Wright - Portarlington

The death has occurred of John Oliver Wright, Droughill, Portarlington, peacefully on March 8, surrounded by those who loved him dearly.

Devoted husband of Mary and proud father of Paul, Audrey, Noelle, Olivia and Maria, his brothers Leo, Noel and Brendan and beloved sister Maeve, his sons-in-law, daughter-in-law and extended family. Oliver was a treasured grandfather (Pop) and a loyal friend.

Oliver will be deeply missed by his loving family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

The death occurred of David Tyrrell, Cahir, Coolrain, peacefully on Friday, March 6, surrounded by his loving family, just short of his 97th birthday.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary.

Dearly loved father of Gerard, Christopher, David, Anthony, Catherine, Noel, Brigit and Joseph, Cherished grandfather to Craig, Daniel, Jessica, Aaron, Robert, Katie, Jack, Hannah, Kevin and Isabel, great-grandfather to Riley, Ella, Lilly, Arthur, Henry, Sienna, Alfred and Logan, father-in-law to Vincent, Caroline, Karen and Annette.

Also sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath (eircode R32Y661) on Monday, March 9, from 6 pm, concluding with Rosary at 8 pm.

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tommy) Whyte, Parknahown, Cullohill, peacefully, at home on March 6 in his 94th year.

Predeceased by his loving wife May, and recently deceased son Clem.

He will be very sadly missed by his son Joe, daughters Geraldine, Mary Paul, Helen and Lourda, his adored and cherished grandchildren John, Tommy, Bill, Tommy, Adam, Ruby, Emma, John, Orlaith, Eadaoin, Jimmy, Luke, Hannah, Lily, Isobel and Amelia, sons-in-law Simon, Steve, Eamon and Dermot, daughters-in-law Marlene and Marie, sisters-in-law Peg and Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Tommy will repose in Saint Tighearnach's Church, Cullohill (R32EV76), on Monday, March 9, from 4 pm, concluding with Funeral prayers at 8 pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, March 10, at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred of Mary Carroll (née Doyle), Marian Avenue, Portlaoise, on March 6, peacefully in the tender care of The Residence Nursing Home, Portlaoise.

Predeceased by her husband Joe. Dearly loved mother to Marie and Tracy, and adored grandmother to Abel. Deeply regretted by her brother-in-law Liam, son-in-law Des, dear friend Pat, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposed at her residence on Saturday and Sunday. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11 am in SS Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise, followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Marie Hennessy - Borris-in-Ossory / Shaen, Portlaoise

The death occurred of Marie Hennessy (née Tyrrell), Cloonagooden Lane, Borris-in-Ossory, late of Shaen Portlaoise and formerly of Arden View, Tullamore, suddenly at her residence on March 5.

Predeceased by her father Christopher, mother Bridget and brother Paddy. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, son Jason, daughter Amy and her partner Brandon, granddaughter Lily, sisters Bernie, Mary, Caroline, Sandra and Martina, brothers David, Damien, Christy and Matthew, mother-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, work colleagues at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington, on Sunday evening. Removal on Monday morning, arriving at The Church of The Assumption, The Heath, Portlaoise, for Requiem Mass at 11 am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery
