Laois rugby club to unveil new floodlights and walking track this weekend

Portarlington Rugby Club will celebrate a major investment in its facilities this Saturday, January 10, with the official opening of its new floodlights and walking track. The upgrades, costing up to €200,000, reflect the club’s continued growth and commitment to improving its grounds.

The event will begin with a welcome reception and light refreshments at 3.45pm, followed by the official unveiling ceremony at 4pm. A Minis exhibition match is scheduled for 4.30pm, with the Senior Men’s Leinster League clash against North Meath set for 5pm.

The day will conclude with a post-match celebration, including live music and the club bar open from 6.30pm, Leinster v La Rochelle will also be on the big screen from 5.30pm.
