A Laois primary school has come second in an international times table competition.
Students of Rushall NS beat over 430 schools in the Times Tables Rockstars Competition. This is the school's second year in a row to earn this massive achievement.
"This achievement places us as the number one school in Ireland, and we're proud to say we were competing against schools from around the globe, including prestigious private international institutions," the school said.

"The children demonstrated commitment and hard work. Over a demanding three-day period, they dedicated 60 minutes each day to mastering their times tables, tackling as many questions as possible. Their relentless effort both in school and at home truly paid off.
"We are so proud of our students, and I think you will all agree they performed exceptionally well! This accomplishment showcases their determination and teamwork, proving that hard work really does lead to success.

"We encourage everyone to celebrate this achievement, and we look forward to seeing what other challenges our talented children will conquer in the future. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students shine!" the school finished.
