Talented musicians from Roscrea in final of Tipperary ETB Talent Search

The traditional music group from Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré who qualified in the senior category for the county final of the Tipperary ETB Talent Search.

A Roscrea secondary school has two finalists in the Tipperary Education & Training Board Talent Search.

A trad group and a young singer from Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré are both through to the Tipperary county final.

The school had sent three entries to the semi-final that took place in Borrisokane Community College.

Second years Lauren Choppin and Abigail Wright competed in the junior category.

Lauren gave a beautiful performance of the song ‘Faded’ and Abigail gave a haunting performance of the song ‘Rise Up’. The competition was of a very high standard and Abigail was the solo act chosen on the day to compete in the county final which will be held in January.

In the senior category Coláiste Phobal's trad music group won a spot in the final. They are Orlaith Cleary, Kelly Feehan, Caoimhe Flannery, Áine Gleeson, Eimear Gleeson, Teresa Maher & Katie Scully.
