Enrolment set start for Mountrath boys school

Parents are being invited to put their names of their sons down for St Fintan's Boys National School in Mountrath.

St Fintan's BNS is a five teacher all-boys, catholic primary school located on New Line Road. Built in 1976, the school take pupils from Junior Infants to 6th class. There are 71 boys enrolled at present.

While the school strives for education success, there is also a big emphasis on sports including hurling, football, soccer, rounders and rugby.

Music is also focused and there is a school band. There is a fully equipped computer room.

Other extra - curricular activies include - chess, choir, Irish dancing, art competitions and drama.

Apart form the five teachers, there are two SNA's and three ancillary staff.

Enrolment for the  school year beginning in September 2018 takes place from Monday, February 5 to Friday, February 9.
