Many students across Laois receive awards for their commitment to attendance each year however James Griffin from Mountmellick has gone above and beyond.
James never missed a day of primary school in Clonaghadoo National School or during his time at Mountmellick Community School.
The young Laois student was presented with a special award by Principal Larry Curtin at the recent school awards night.
Jame’s uncle, Donie O’Mahony, shared a clip of the award announcement on Twitter. The video was taken by James’ mother, Geraldine.
