Mountmellick Community School students celebrate books
Mountmellick Community School held a Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) day recently to mark World Book Day.
The initiative was organised by Ms Leonard and her second year English class 2D who went to great lengths to promote reading in the school, including performing some music to help the reading mood.
There were lots of quiet moments for staff and students as they broke from classes to pick up their favourite book.
“Sincere thanks to all staff for partaking in the Literacy initiative,” said Ms Leonard.
