Parents, children and teachers in a Laois Gaelscoil celebrated a bilingual Christmas Concert this week at their new school.

Gaelscoil Thromaire celebrated their Ceolchoirm na Nollag at the school's new premises on Monday evening, December 19, the first time since 2019 that the school community has been able to get together in over two years.

Bhí Ceolchoirm na Nollag ar siúl inné i nGaelscoil Thromaire, an chéad uair le dhá bhliain a raibh deis ag comhluadar na Scoile teacht le chéile agus ceiliúradh na Nollag a bheith againn.

Parents were treated to a Nativity Play by Ms Ní Bhaoill's infant classes, while Principal Múinteoir Áine's senior classes performed 'San Nioclás agus an Grinch', involving an effort by The Grinch to spoil Christmas.

Visitors were also treated to a variety of Christmas Carols as Gaeilge agus i mBéarla, emphasizing the children's fluency in both languages.
