Laois soccer club holds Christmas Monster Hamper draw

Lions AFC Durrow held their 50th Monster Hamper Draw before Christmas with the draw having taken place on Christmas Eve. There were a wide variety of prizes on offer from a first prize of the Monster Hamper to a Sunday lunch voucher in the Ashbrook arms.

The club wished a Happy New Year to all their players, supporters, ex players, managers and coaches, committee members, parents, sponsors and everyone who helped to make 2023 a tremendous success for the club and they hope that 2024 brings health and happiness to all. A fascinating year lies ahead for the club as they continue to enhance the clubs facilities and continue with their pitch development plan.

Lions AFC also raised €400 for the Down Syndrome Ireland "Laois Branch" members thanks to a charity soccer tournament held by the club with big thanks given to Michael Larkin and Kevin Kelly especially. 

The results of the Monster Hamper Draw are as follows: First Prize - Monster Hamper - Greg Condon; Second Prize - One Night B&B plus Dinner in Heritage Hotel - Simon Comerford; Third Prize - One Night B&B plus Dinner in Killashee House Hotel - Croia Dooly; Fourth Prize - €100 Phelans Hardware Voucher - Frankie Carroll; Fifth Prize - Sunday Lunch Voucher Ashbrook Arms - Jack Cosgrove; Sixth Prize - Dempsey Nurseries Voucher - Nancy O' Shaughnessey; Seventh Prize - Murfs Voucher - Darragh Lacey; Eighth Prize - Halo Voucher - Kate Kennedy; Ninth Prize - Chocolates & Bubbles - Conor Moore
