Mountrath Community School is celebrating the incredible achievement of their staff member, Ms Brooke Dunne, who represented Ireland at the European Deaf Futsal Championships.
Dunne, who plays for the Newbridge Town FC Senior Ladies team, was to the fore as Ireland reached the semi-finals of the tournament.
Her outstanding performances between the posts earned her a place on the Team of the Tournament and the accolade of Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

Commenting on her achievement, Mountrath Community School said on social media: “We are so proud of our staff member Ms Dunne who represented Ireland at the European Deaf Futsal Championships over the weekend. Ms Dunne was named as top goalkeeper on the Team of the Tournament as Ireland reached the semi-finals.”
The FAI Women’s Facebook page added: “Well done to Brooke Dunne on being named Goalkeeper of the Tournament at the European Deaf Futsal Championships. Dunne also made the Team of the Tournament as Ireland reached the semi-finals.”
