A number of Laois teams are still in the hunt for silverware in cup competitions in the CCFL as the season apporoaches the business end.
Five of the nine teams remaining in the CCFL Shield are from Laois while one team from the county is guaranteed a place in the semi-final of the Paddy Cotter Cup.
Clonaslee are the last Laois team left standing at the semi-final stage of the Premier Division Cup with Stradbally still standing at the quarter-final stage of the Division 1 Cup.
Between the Division 2, 3 and 4 Cups, there are still 13 Laois teams in contention. Portarlington Town, Towerhill Rovers, O’Moores and Mountmellick Utd B are still standing in two cup competitions.
