Magnificent Models from the World’s Great Motoring Marques including Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Rolls Royce are all set and ready to go under the hammer at Coolattin House, County Wicklow on Wednesday evening, 29 June.

Auctioneer Philip Sheppard, said ‘Sheppard’s is delighted to introduce a choice of exciting, and rare motors cars as part of its important Coolattin House fine art sale in county Wicklow at the end of June.’

The late Christopher Sheppard (1922 – 2105) founded Sheppard’s Irish Auction House in 1948.

As one of Ireland's leading auction houses, record-making Sheppard's are specialists in Chinese ceramics andworks of art; historical documents, and period pieces of high quality furniture, especially Irish.

Sheppard's equally enjoys a reputation for artworks ranging from early eighteenth-century portraits to contemporary paintings. Clients include leading Irish, American, British, and Chinese collectors, and national institutions such as the National Library of Ireland and the National Museum of Ireland.

Maintained by Irish Porsche specialist, Brian Kane.

This delightful Rolls Royce was owned by crime-writer David Williams who write about the joy of owning the world-class motor car in his book Treasure by Degrees. A signed copy of the book is included with the car.

This Italian designed car arrived from New York in 2011 and was fully restored by the award winning Portuguese Alfa Romero Classic specialist, Luis de Jesus.

Restoration: New body panels; full engine and gearbox rebuild; new drive shaft and Alfaholic wheelsin keeping with the period; and inner, middle, and outer sills restored.
