The launch of ‘Irish Timeless Treasures’ as an in-store stall within SOLAS has been a great success with strong sales over its first weekend.

David Maher of SOLAS explains “Brian and his team have really put together a fantastic collection of items and the customers have really responded. It is great to see how a Saturday market stall has now become a seven-day-a-week feature here. This is the third independent ‘in-store’ shop which has a permanent feature of SOLAS – including ‘Refillz’ range of packaging free products, and ‘Moo-Cow’ range of fresh Milk and shakes in reusable glass bottles.

Maher continues: “really what we are trying to create here is a virtuous platform for local businesses to come together and create something very special and worth visiting – as ever a case of ‘Build it and they will come’.”

Daredevil Circus is bringing the magic of the circus to SOLAS for four days: Shows Thursday & Friday @ 7pm, Saturday 2pm & 5pm, Sunday 12.30 & 3.30pm.

Food & Cosy Cafe

The SOLAS Cafe offers hot food seven days a week along with a selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes, pastries, homemade soup and soda bread. Our hot special this weekend will be: chilli beef nachos.

SOLAS – Plants

Plant of the week (2 this week):

Sarcococca is a winter flowering shrub, evergreen and strongly scented. It has pure white flowers. It can grow in partial shade Hamamelis, known as a Witch hazel. It has fragrant spidery flowers in shades of yellow, orange and red and it will bring colour to your garden during winter months.

SOLAS – Shop

The product of the week is Algon which is an organic patio cleaner - will start to clean surfaces within a week. It has a long life and is safe to use on brick, stone, concrete, flag, tarmacadam, decking, fabric awnings, garden furniture and artificial grass.
