The Tower and Bean Coffee shop is a community café in The Heritage Centre in Timahoe, run by local volunteers.

The idea to open a coffee shop in the community was formed during lockdown in 2020 and after a lot of planning and hard work it finally opened its doors on June 7, 2021.

It epitomises all that is good about village life, allowing locals and visitors to come together to socialise over a cuppa.

Barista trained staff are locals and give their time voluntarily.

All the lovely home baking is also made locally with just the cost of ingredients covered and most importantly all profits made are well spent on local projects in the community e.g. purchase of extra Christmas lights and decorations, extra flowers, plants and seating in the village to name a few.

The Coffee Shop is currently open for four hours every Saturday and Sunday with wheelchair access and the option of indoor and outdoor seating.
