Busy time for Community Games

Laois Community Games are enjoying a busy few weeks with Talent, Table quiz and Chess finals taking place recently.

The County Talent Finals took place on Friday, April 29 in Mountmellick Arts Centre. Laois Community Games would like to thank tveryone who helped make this a very enjoyable night, including judges Liz, Kieran and David and to Eamon and Ger in the Arts Centre for all their help.

MC on the night was Clodagh Dunne who has represented Laois Community Games at the National finals for the last five years. Clodagh will be performing in musical drama 'West Side Story at the Helix in Dublin later this year. Laois Community Games wish Best of luck to Clodagh.

Upcoming events

Modelmaking county final will take place in St. Colmans School in Stradbally on May 27 at 6.45pm.

Participants must provide all materials they will require and must have an unprepared board, this will be checked before the competition starts and they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the competition. No aerosols are allowed.

Modelmaking entries must be up on the ORS. No entries will be allowed on the night.

The county athletics finals take place in St. Abbans on June 5. Deadline for entries is June 1.

Each participant can only take part in 1 individual, 1 team, 1 relay or squad and 1 representative competition (cross country, mixed distance relay, marathon) at county, provincial and national level.
