The Portlaoise Heritage Hotel should be rocking this Sunday evening when the Annanough GAA club and the Timahoe Ladies Football club combine to put on their Lip Sync battle.
Weeks of preparation have gone into the event where acts from both clubs have come together to perform well-known songs in a hugely entertaining fashion.
Among the Annanough acts to be taking part are the all-girl group of club Secretary Clare Coleman, Lisa Foley and Aine Whelehan, club chairman Christy Stapleton and popular community man Joe Oakley.
On the Timahoe side, they've recruited some of Stradbally's recent championship winning stars as well as some of their own successful players - the likes of Maggie Murphy, Angela Casey, Shona Barry and Liz and Joleen Cahill.
The event takes place at 8pm with tickets priced at €20 available from members of both clubs. All the performing acts are currently gathering sponsorship while a programme will be available on the night also.
