U-21 Championship Semi-Final
O'Dempsey's 1-5 St Joseph's/Barrowhouse 2-16: Our under 21 campaign ended against a very strong St Josephs/Barrowhouse outfit who progress to the A final to meet Sarsfields. It has been an excellent year winning the U-21 B and also reaching the A semi final.
All 18 players used on the day gave there all and the final score didn't reflect their effort and commitment. St Joseph's/Barrowhouse finished the last five minutes of each half by scoring 1-3. Winning the A championship was always going to be near impossible for the team against the amalgamations and gaels teams. We were the last surviving club team in the championship and the fact that so many of this team were minor and that only two are now overage for next year, bodes well for the future.
O'Dempsey's: Shane Hogan, Christopher Slevin, Cormac O Hora, Liam Whelehan, Ben Molloy, Tommy Kehoe (0-1), Christopher McCormack, Johnny Kelly (0-1), Shane Nurney, Pat Maher, Matthew Finlay (1-2), Darran Fitzpatrick, Daithi Howlin (0-1), Glen Mitchell, Oisin Maher. Subs used: Darragh Bannon for Liam Whelehan (inj); Andrew Egan for Darragh Bannon; Aaron Fitzpatrick for Oisin Maher. Referee: Brendan McCann

We played for the BCS Ltd sponsored Ratheniska shield. The scoring was excellent and there was very little between the top ten players. Here is a list of the winners on the day - Mary Conroy 41pts; Denis Brennan 39pts; PJ Delaney 39pts; Joe Kelly 38pts; Des Conroy 38pts; Pat McEvoy Snr 37pts; Mark Carroll 36pts; Martin Langton 36pts; Nearest Pin - Mick Fennelly; Two Club Winner - Pat McEvoy Jnr; Paddy Last Winner - Jimmy Fitzpatrick.

A big thank you to Brian Ramsbottom for his advertisement in the Leinster and sharing posts through the GAA page.
