Portlaoise man and professional Australian rules footballer, Zach Tuohy, scored the glorious winning kick of the game in the Australian Football League this week.
The score is one of the most dramatic final 20 seconds in an AFL game with Tuohy being hailed a hero locally and internationally.
The remarkable last-second score secured Geelong Cats a crucial 16.4 (100) to 4.14 (98) victory over Melbourne in the AFL encounter.
Geelong went in five points down at half-time and trailed for the rest of the game until the Laois man's final contribution.
He set up the after siren kick with a superb stretch and catch. After consulting the referee, Touhy was aware that he had a chance to secure the win with the last kick of the match and he duly delivered.
