Arles played Mountmellick in the first semi final which Arles won by a score of 3-2 to advance to the final. In the other semi-final Emo/Rath got through to the final as Stradbally were unfortunately a player down. In a hotly contested final Arles got the better of Emo/Rath with a score of 4-1.


The County Community Games talent finals are taking place in Mountmellick Arts Centre on April 12 next with registration from 10.30am. There is an entry fee of €3 per person including competitors on the door. Can all area secretaries have their entries with the county secretary by April 5 at the latest. We want names, dates of birth and which event the child is competing in.

Events are open to boys and girls and groups can be either boys, girls or mixed. Events on offer are: U-14 Solo Singing, U-14 Group Singing, U-14 Drama/Comedy sketch, U-12 Group Dance (Irish Contemprary), U-14 Group Dance (Modern/Disco),U-14 Solo Dance (Modern/Disco), U-13 Solo Music, U-14 Group Music and U-12 Solo Recitation.

Areas please note entries for Basketball U-11 Mixed and U-13 Boys & Girls, Spikeball U-14 Boys & Girls, Futsal U-13 Boys & Girls, Hardcourt Tennis U-13 Mixed, Debating U-16 & O-12, Camogie U/14, Gaelic Football U-10 Mixed and U-12 Girls are due at the next county meeting on April 7
