5/13km Family Fun Cycle

Calling all cycling enthusiasts to join in the fun of our Family Fun Cycle which will take place on Saturday 4th of August at 11am The Square, Durrow, Co. Laois. There are two routes to suit all abilities 5k and 13k. This cycle event is recommended for ages 7+ with all children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult. Cycling helmets are compulsory and participants must obey the rules of the road. All entrants participate at their own risk and must obey the instructions of the Gardaí, the Civil Defence and event marshals at all times. If you have not participated in a physical activity for some time please consult your GP. All bicycles should be in a well-maintained, road-worthy condition. Participants are advised to carry a pump, spare tubes etc. Registration from 10am with cost of entry e5 per family with proceeds to South Laois Tourism Cycle Trails.

A complete leisure activity which is fun, cycling gives you the opportunity to spend time with friends., get fit as it enhances overall fitness levels, manage weight, minimizes risk of coronary heart diseases, reduces stress.

A chance to meet new people and discover new places cannot be ruled out as well.

Cycling is a complete environmental friendly activity. Cycling can prove to be the best mode to move around your local area without any difficulty.

Our aim is to see families utilizing these fantastic new cycle trails in our County and we would welcome your support.

Paintball in the Workplace

Our goal for this programme is to help people in the work place increase their fitness levels, have fun and improve team work. We are inviting businesses in Laois to form their own paint balling team to compete in a league which we aim to establish if sufficient interest shown.

Physical activity has many benefits in the workplace both for the employer e.g. reduces absenteeism, improves productivity, improves corporate image and improves relations with staff and for the employee e.g. improves productivity and morale, improves fitness and health, improves team spirit and improves concentration.

Blazing Saddles Camp

Join in the fun of our cycling camp with limited number of places available. Blazing Saddles is a fun cycling skills programme which aims to develop the basic skills of Balance, pedalling, braking & cornering that are required when riding a bike. Road Safety & Bike Maintenance will provide children with the knowledge and awareness to keep themselves safe while cycling and how to keep their bike roadworthy.
