LAOIS rugby league star Tim Bergin will be hoping to fly hih this Sunday when he takes to the field in the Championship Final with the Sheffield Eagles.
Sheffield take on Featherstone Rovers in the final which will be played at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. The game will be screened live on Sky Sports 3
The Championship is just one division behind the Super League and should Sheffield win the game, they will be able to apply for a position in the top flight of Rugby League in the UK.
Tim plays on the wing and in 16 games this year has scored seven tries and has kicked five penalties. He is an Irish International who joined Sheffield at the beginning of the 2010 season,coming from the student rugby league system.
By the end of his first season he had established firmly himself in the first team and earned the ‘Shooting Star’ award for 2010. He has also played International Student rugby union.
