WATCH: Almost nobody is using this stunning hidden Laois park in Portlaoise
Watch to the end to discover where this gorgeous Laois public park is, hidden away in Portlaoise town centre.
Laois is still under a heatwave but a beautiful parkland hidden in the centre of Portlaoise is still almost empty of visitors.
The Triogue Linear Park has a free public Dog Park and a new basketball court, but almost no visitors, when toured by Laois Live / the Leinster Express this week.
The leafy, butterfly filled park runs alongside the river Triogue, dipping under the railway line along a thrillingly dark tunnel. It is getting a new big signpost, courtesy of a mural by Laois artist Marie Moylan, commissioned by Laois County Council. The park is a blueway shortcut for walkers and cyclists between Mill View and Greenmill Lane.
