WATCH: US Army choppers fly over Laois for Trump visit
Helicopters fly over the Midlands en route to Doonbeg for Trump's visit to the Irish Open golf tournament
US Army Chinook helicopters have flown over Laois on the way to Clare ahead of the visit of President Donald Trump to Ireland.
Video captured in The Rock area near Mountmellick by the Leinster Express / Laois Live showed the aircraft in the skies over the county on Tuesday morning, September 8.
The choppers reportedly arrived in Ireland at the Irish Air Corps base at Baldonnel after arriving from Britain.

It is understood that heavy-lift aircraft, which are named after a tribe of Native Americans, are being used to deploy troops and equipment to Clare to provide security for Mr Trump’s visit to the Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links Ireland, Doonbeg, which gets underway on Thursday.
Prior to heading to the Golf, the US President is expected to arrive at Dublin Airport early on Saturday before travelling by Marine One helicopter to the Phoenix Park where he will meet President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin before holding talks with Taoiseach Micheál Martin at Farmleigh.
The Taoiseach has expressed confidence in the ability of the Gardaí to police the visit.
