Met Eireann is warning of possible travel disruption and power outages ahead of weather warning.
Laois and the entire country are included in the Status Yellow Wind Warning which will come into effect tomorrow morning at 5am.
“Westerly winds will be very strong and gusty from Thursday morning in the west at first, progressing eastwards from the afternoon, with particularly strong wind gusts especially around coasts and high ground in the northwest,” Met Eireann said.
It warned the possible impact of the warning could include travel disruption and power outages.
The warning will remain in place from 5am tomorrow morning until Friday at 2pm.
