Dense fog desends on Portlaoise.
Laois drivers and other road users are being urged to exercise caution overnight and early tomorrow morning due to 'potentially hazardous travelling conditions' caused by fog.
Met Éireann, which has issued a second status yellow warning in less than 24 hours, says the fog will linger in places, leading to impaired visibility.
"Areas of dense fog developing, leading to impaired visibility and potentially hazardous travelling conditions," states the warning which covers the entire country.
Gardai and Road Safety Authority (RSA) are appealing to those who are driving in areas impacted by the fog to be careful when travelling.

Fog warning extended across Ireland until Tues 21st, 11am. https://t.co/zNWKEZeG1T
The alert is valid from 8pm this Monday until 11am on Tuesday.
The RSA advises people driving in fog to switch on dipped headlights and fog lamps, reduce your speed and allow an extra safe distance from you and the vehicle in front. As you enter fog, check your mirrors and slow down. Use your foot brake lightly so that your lights warn following drivers.
