Laois County Council
Laois County Council has provided an update on the roads that have now been cleared of fallen trees as the major cleanup operation continues across the county.
Met Éireann has downgraded its Storm Éowyn weather warn to a Status Yellow level as the Laois recovers from the storm that has hit the country.
The County Council crew have cleared 40 road blockages across the County since their work started at 11am.
The N80 through Laois is now clear from the Offaly border to the Carlow border.
Fire and Roads crew continue to address trees down and road blockages across the County.

The County Council are strongly advising the public not to make unnecessary journeys.
Aside from the dangers of fallen trees, power cables and telecoms infrastructure, there will be a lot of debris on roads and footpaths
There will be multiple hazards on streets, roads and footpaths and the public is asked to report any incidents to the Council’s Emergency Hotline Number.
