The sunny April weather has raised everybody's spirits after a long winter but the end is in sight although there will be a few more days of the splendid conditions to soak up.
Met Éireann's latest forecast says the last week has been significantly drier than normal for the time of year in Laois and right across Ireland.
Some Met Éireann monitored weather stations recorded zero rainfall. With high pressure expect to stay in charge, the forecaster says most of the coming week will be mostly dry.
However, Met Éireann's farming section warns there is a "signal" for more in the way of "unsettled weather developing". It says conditions will "deteriorate" over the weekend with wetter weather on the way. The forecaster warns that between "10mm and 30mm of rain is expected widely".
But there is plenty of dry and sunny conditions in the forecast before the weather breaks with Met Éireann's national outlook saying it will remain dry and sunny for the working week with high pressure bringing plenty of sunshine.
