Met Eireann has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain for Laois

A warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Laois by Met Eireann with flooding expected on Thursday, June 12.  The forecaster has issued a status yellow warning for thunderstorms with heavy showers until 2pm on Thursday. 


The possible impacts include lightning damage, localist flooding, and poor visibility and difficult travel conditions. The weather warning is in place for the whole of Leinster as well as Tipperary, Waterford, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry.
